The two new rollercoasters will be located in Emerald Park's first fully themed and immersive land, Tír Na nÓg, which is equivalent to twice the size of Croke Park

Emerald Park has announced the long-awaited opening date of its first fully themed and immersive land, Tír Na nÓg.

The new rollercoasters, which are the longest intertwining family and thrill coasters in Europe, were engineered and designed by Dutch manufacturing company Vekoma, who are a major supplier for The Walt Disney Company. Rollercoaster fans can look forward to heart pounding fun, with inversions such as a 360 zero-G roll and an upward helix, which guarantees a total of five thrilling upside down experiences on the coaster, along with some daring twists and high-speed drops.

Along with the two main rollercoasters, the new Celtic-themed area, Tír na nÓg, will also introduce a third classic theme park attraction, known as a The Celtic Dreamer. This 56-seater attraction is a colourful, spinning, flying sensation where young and old can take in the unmatched sight of Tír Na nÓg as they soar to 12 metres and beyond.

In addition to the new fully themed and immersive land, Emerald Park is set to release a behind the scenes series, Nerves of Steel, which will air weekly on RTÉ One, starting from Friday, May 10.
