Gardai are also at the scene and have appealed for witnesses to come forward - nobody else was injured in the crash.
A man has died in the latest crash to claim a life on Ireland's roads after a lorry and car collided in Carlow.

The driver of the car, a male, was later pronounced deceased. No other injuries have been reported at this time.
