'It's big enough to feed a family of four!'
Instead of the main storyline playing on the silver screen last night, something very different was on every Emmerdale viewer's mind.
The main character in their sights was Caleb Miligan. In the episode, he and his wife Ruby returned home from their holiday in Bali, and found out there had been a fire at his car dealership.Soon the police were knocking at Caleb's door and after speaking to Ruby, they asked of Caleb's whereabouts at the time of the blaze as they suspected arson. During this time, it was also revealed that Caleb had increased his insurance premiums before he went away, making him look suspicious.
Instead of being entranced by the storyline, it was Caleb's dinner which sparked outrage on social media as they saw him tuck into a full-sized chicken on a wooden chopping board - on its own. The character, played by William Ash, distracted viewers as his companion Ruby was eating a miniscule piece of lettuce.@Ceri Carroll said: "And then there's Ruby just eating a dish of lettuce! It looked like she was eating leaves actually perhaps she's a vegetarian or vegan she's slim enough to be.@Paul Jackson said: "Was it a full chicken I was going to go closer to TV and have a nose, but thought no one has a "whole chicken on their plate so I never bothered.
