Emmerdale's Marlon Dingle star bids emotional farewell to ITV co-star after 19 years
Emmerdale's Marlon Dingle star Mark Charnock bid an emotional farewell to his ITV co-star on Thursday.
ITV News Calendar tweeted on Wednesday: "A big announcement from us today: Duncan Wood is to leave Calendar after 19 years as presenter," to which Duncan retweeted with: "It’s a wrap! Tough decision but one I’ve thought long and hard about. Thankyou #ITV for 32 rollercoaster years of live telly and to the amazing team @itvcalendar I shall miss you greatly!"
Mark tweeted: "Oh Duncan!!!! You’re a legend. I’m sad to hear this, but I’m very glad to have known you all these years and I’ll miss bumping into you round the building. Only recently on Emmerdale, Marlon had a life-threatening stroke in heartbreaking episodes with the ITV soap working closely with the charity, Stroke Association, to give a "realistic and authentic depiction" of his journey.
