Emmerdale's Lisa Riley has candidly discussed her past struggles with alcohol, revealing a particularly drunken incident that resulted in a stern reprimand from ITV bosses. The 48 year old actress, best known for her role as the fiery Mandy Dingle on Emmerdale, has been a fixture on the show for nearly three decades.
Originally from Bury, Lisa shared a hilarious anecdote: "So do you remember when ITV did the Telethon? It was like their version of Children in Need, but ITV? Yeah. So I was hosting the Manchester side." The story took a turn when she recounted her misadventure: "And idiot here, obviously full of champagne and very, you know, happy with life, decides to jump from hotel bed, from bed to bed, doing fame jumps from bed to bed. Only I fell on one of the jumps and I broke my wrist, right? Well, I didn't know I broke my wrist because I was so full of champagne, didn't really hurt that much.
