Emmerdale's Matty Barton star lost his mum last year
Emmerdale's Matty Barton star Ash Palmisciano has received rafts of support from his castmates as he shared a candid and emotional update on social media.
Ash, 33, lost his much-loved mum last year. In a new Instagram post on Tuesday, Ash said: "Grief's such a complex thing! I think about my mum everyday, some days I think she’s still around me, some days I know she’s gone! "Thoughts and feelings can hit you like a wave when you least expect it - like seeing Christmas crackers appearing in the supermarket or hearing a song on the radio. "So today I just wanted to send love to all of you experiencing that and what I'm learning is to be gentle on myself on those moments/days, any advice to share amongst each other would be nice if you wanted to comment below #Grief #MyMum". Ash's Emmerdale co-stars have rushed to send well-wishes. Vanessa Woodfield actress Michelle Hardwick said: "So much love to you Ash" while former Priya Sharma star Fiona Wade said: "Sending the biggest love to you my friend xx".Ash joined Emmerdale in 2018 as the show's first transgender character. Matty, born Hannah, is Moira Barton's son.
