Warning - don't get caught out
People across Lancashire are being warned about scam texts offering people the opportunity to check if they are eligible for the government's energy bills support scheme.
But fraudsters are using the energy crisis to prey on those most vulnerable, and have begun sending texts disguised as the government, Lancashire Constabulary has warned.The text messaged states: "GOV-UK: You can now check your eligibility for the new government energy bills support scheme."
