Wicketkeeper and batter Jonny Bairstow shared a photo in an Instagram story showing demonstrators and police officers in front of their team coach in the middle of the road.Day one of the one-off Test between England and Ireland was due to start at the Lord's stadium in St John's Wood, London, at 11am on Thursday.But Just Stop Oil appeared not to realise the England cricket team were on the bus.
The protest group posted a video of their demonstration on Twitter and wrote in an accompanying post:"Just Stop Oil supporters march In Kensington and Battersea."And apparently that's the @englandcricket team bus. The latest protest action from Just Stop Oil, which is calling on the government to halt new fossil fuel licensing and production, comes days after two of its demonstrators invaded the pitch at theTwo men wearing Just Stop Oil T-shirts threw orange paint powder on the field at the game between Saracens and Sale before being removed by security staff.
