At the Fianna Fáil think-in in Tipperary, Tánaiste Micheál Martin accused Sinn Féin of 'infecting young people'
Eoin Ó Broin has branded Micheál Martin as "desperate" and "patronising" following the Tánaiste’s attack on Sinn Féin.
He made the comments as he questioned why Housing Minister Darragh O’Brien has not published figures for how many social and affordable houses have been completed this year. "They are talking to me on the doors or on the streets, [what] they're saying is we need to change the Government to change those key policies affecting young people’s lives."I have to say, Micheál Martin would be far better placed to listen to what young people are saying and to address their key concerns in areas for example like housing, than making what I think are very ill-judged, patronising and insulting remarks about young people’s intelligence.
