Anthony Martial has only started four matches this season after Man United signed Rasmus Hojlund.
Manchester United wanted progression on and off the pitch this summer after Erik ten Hag impressed in his first 12 months in the dugout. It was time for his United to take the next step, without the much-maligned Glazer family, and cheques amounting to £183million were handed over for three main transfer targets.
Hojlund is yet to open his Premier League account despite grabbing three goals in the Champions League already. Of course, that non-return is not solely down to the promising Denmark international himself as he - like all strikers - relies on quality service and that is one of many things United are lacking as a collective right now.
As senior players, Antony and Rashford must take the bulk of the blame when it comes to goal-getting along with those who are meant to supply them. However, there is one other player United can turn to.
