Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag reacts to his team's 2-0 win over Everton
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag insisted he was unconcerned by Everton having 23 shots at Old Trafford because their opportunities were “low quality chances.”
“You have to be very disciplined an co-operate very well. I think it was a team performance but especially our back four with Andre in the back and Casemiro in front, we’ve done very well.” Although his own team were unable to open Everton up from open play, ten Hag maintained he was satisfied with their performance. He said: “We had a very good transfer of the game plan. By dropping Bruno and Scott , we could get the runs in behind from Garnacho and Rashford.
“When you have the high press, you can’t go all the way, all the time with long balls because you stretch the pitch and we don’t actually want that. Overall, it was a good performance and a good result.”
