ESB crews working to restore power around the country following Storm Brendan chaos
ESB crews are working to restore power to parts of the country following the aftermath of Storm Brendan.Thousands of homes and businesses were left without power following the severe weather conditions a number of fallen trees on power lines causing outages.
Spokesman Derek Hynes said the worst-hit areas remained in the south-east with around 12,000 people in Co Wexford affected.According to ESB Powercheck, there are still a number of faults in parts of Dublin, Wexford, Waterford, Cork, Galway, Sligo, Kerry, Kilkenny and Mayo. The ESB has also urged people to report any damage to electricity infrastructure by calling 1850 372 999.
