EU's top diplomat Josep Borrell says he is 'more optimistic today than yesterday' about the revival of Iran nuclear talks
The 2015 nuclear deal, which gave Iran sanctions relief in return for curbs on its nuclear activities, has been on life support since 2018, when then US president Donald Trump unilaterally pulled out.
Bloomberg News reported that Iran's foreign minister gave the date on Sunday, citing an Iranian lawmaker. "No confirmation yet, but things are getting better and I hope we will have preparatory meetings in Brussels in the days to come," Borrell said in Luxembourg as he arrived for an EU foreign ministers meeting.
