Which countries in the EU are open to Americans for traveling right now

Many countries, such as Germany and Switzerland, are seeing some of the highest daily infection rates since the pandemic started and the WHO is predicting another 500,000 more deaths by early 2022.

Here is the guide to which EU countries are currently accepting U.S. travelers , what travelers need in order to enter, and if they need to be vaccinated. As ever, these rules are in flux and liable to change from the time a trip is booked to the departure date, particularly for unvaccinated U.S. passengers .

Some countries have changed travel restrictions in line with the new U.S. travel opening. For example, , to correspond to the fact that EU travelers are allowed into the U.S. from 8 November. It still remains closed to everyone else.
