A Euromillions player from Dublin celebrated a double win, claiming €500,000 in the Euromillions Plus Draw and planning to use the winnings to help his daughter with her upcoming wedding.
One lucky Euromillions player won the top prize of €500,000 in the Euromillions Plus Draw last Friday, December 20. This wasn't the player's first win in a fortnight, as he had previously claimed €2,000 in a Euromillions draw earlier this month. The Dublin -based man plans to use some of his winnings to help organize his daughter's wedding after she recently got engaged.
He shared his excitement with the National Lottery, saying he immediately shouted to his wife when he checked his ticket online and saw the amount. He added that he's fortunate to be able to help make his daughter's wedding a memorable day. More lottery players are set to win big over the Christmas period, with just one week left until the highly-anticipated Millionaire Raffle draw on New Year's Eve next Tuesday, December 31. As well as the top prize of €1 million, there will also be six prizes of €100,000, 15 prizes of €10,000, 45 prizes of €5,000, 302 prizes of €1,000 and 8,131 prizes of €500 up for grabs. Tickets are limited, with only 600,000 available, and cost €25 each. The National Lottery has advised players that the Christmas Millionaire Raffle has sold out for the past four years, so securing a ticket early is advised.
