Lyon is a must-visit for anyone who loves to plan a holiday around eating. This visually impressive city, full of grand historic buildings, is home to 4,000 restaurants and is often cited as the gastronomic capital of France, if not the world. Balance out the eating with walks around the many historical and architectural landmarks and meander around the cobbled streets and traboules of the restored old quarter of Vieux Lyon.
