The Eurovision Song Contest final will air live tonight from Malmö, Sweden, but it's been chaotic behind the scenes due to disqualifications, boycotts and even arrests

Eurovision Song Contest bosses have reportedly been holding crisis meetings ahead of the final this evening.

The European Broadcasting Union announced Joost will not compete in the Eurovision Song Contest grand final while Swedish police investigate a complaint of inappropriate behaviour. A petition was created in support of the Dutch act, with tens of thousands of people signing the page in hopes of bringing him back to the final. In the city, pro-Palestine supporters have been protesting against the competition due to Israel's inclusion amid Israel's ruthless bombardment of Palestine.

The Mirror have contacted Eurovision for comment. It comes after it was confirmed Joost Klein would not perform at the final. Joost Klein was banned from performing during the dress rehearsal on Friday night following an incident. He had been spotted in full costume as he took part in the flag parade.

Swedish TV network SVThas since reportedthat the "incident" on Fridayinvolved a "physical confrontation between the artist and a photographer". The official page for the Netherlands' Songfestival, which sends contestants to Eurovision, released a statement about the incident that got Joost disqualified.
