Ireland's most beloved Eurovision legends and renowned TV personalities join forces for a night of music, excitement, and anticipation as six hopefuls vie for the chance to represent Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest.
The Late Late Show has revealed details for this year's Eurosong Special, set to air on Friday night. Eurovision legends Linda Martin, Niamh Kavanagh, and Eimear Quinn will unite for the first time to captivate both the studio audience and viewers at home. Known as the ' Eurovision Holy Trinity,' these three powerhouse singers aim to channel the winning energy of Sweden's 2023 Eurovision champion, Loreen, with their performance of Tattoo.
Joining host Patrick Kielty on the night is Bambie Thug, the act that secured Ireland's highest Eurovision ranking since 2000. Bambie Thug will offer their expert feedback on the six hopefuls vying for the opportunity to represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest Final in Basel, Switzerland, this May. Providing further insights on the competing acts will be TV chef Donal Skehan, a former Eurosong contestant himself back in 2008. Donal, a fervent Eurovision enthusiast, expressed his heartfelt desire for one of the six finalists to triumph in the semi-final and secure Ireland's eighth Eurovision victory.RTÉ 2FM's Laura Fox will be providing live commentary and analysis on each performance throughout the night. Adding another layer of expertise to the judging panel is Dancing with the Stars judge Arthur Gourounlian. Excited to transition from the dancefloor to the Eurosong stage, Arthur is eager to wholeheartedly 'j'adore' all six performances. Further details about the show will be unveiled later this week as Bobbi Arlo, Samantha Mumba, Reylta, Adgy, EMMY, and NIYL compete to earn the coveted title of Ireland's Eurovision representative.
