Paul Harrington, the Irish Eurovision winner, has spoken about the joy of becoming a father for the second time at the age of 60. Harrington and his wife Karol welcomed their daughter Molly Siobhan in October 2019 after ten years of trying. Harrington says Molly has 'changed his life' and that he would love to have more children.
Eurovision idol Paul Harrington has opened up on how his life has changed since becoming a father at 60 for a second time around.Harrington welcomed daughter Molly Siobhan Harrington in October 2019 after 10 years of trying for another baby with second wife, Karol Sadlier, who he married in 2007.
The singer, who also has a grown-up son with his first wife, who he married in his early 20s for seven years, said Molly Siobhan has "changed his life". But Harrington revealed being a dad to a five-year-old at 65 years of age can be challenging sometimes. "I was in a playground. It wasn't anything to do with her, but I was ducking and diving kids and the next thing bang. It was a very simple thing.Harrington was speaking as he and Eurovision star Charlie McGettigan reunited after 30 years to release a new charity single in aid of Our Lady's Hospice & Care Services' Light Up A Life Remembrance Ceremony.
"In 2005 my sister had hospice care at home, which is incredible and also just gone in 2023, my brother Richard also had home hospice care."Apart from the fact that they are taking great care of your loved one and making sure that they are having a very dignified and peaceful transition from life to death, they bridge that imaginary gap.
Mary Flanagan, Chief Executive Officer of Our Lady's Hospice & Care Services, said: "We are beyond grateful to Paul and Charlie for their time and effort in the run up to Light Up A Life .
