Photograph: James Crombie/InphoEvan Ferguson has been named in the Ireland squad for the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers against Greece and Gibraltar, but as suspected defender John Egan misses out after picking up a leg injury last month.
James McClean, who announced his international retirement earlier on Thursday, has not been named in the squad. He will have to wait until November’s friendly clash with New Zealand at the Aviva Stadium to make his final international appearance.
