EVAN FERGUSON BAGGED his first Premier League hat-trick in a sensational showing as Brighton defeated Newcastle 3-1 this evening.
Ferguson opened the scoring in the 27th minute, sweeping home a rebound after Billy Gilmour’s initial shot was blocked. The Ireland striker doubled his tally in the 65th minute with a superb finish before a deflected effort in the 70th minute completed the teenager’s hat-trick. Newcastle grabbed a consolation in injury-time through Callum Wilson but Ferguson was the star of the show.
