The installation of the first seats has started a five month process that will see another landmark reached at Christmas
Everton fans following the development of the club’s new stadium could get a special present at Christmas.
That would mean the installation of thousands across the next two months - a process now underway after the very first seats were put in over recent days. DERBY VERDICT: Jurgen Klopp knew awkward derby truth as officials hurt Everton in way Liverpool could notAcross the next five months tens of thousands of holes will be drilled as the important process of fixing the seats continues. The work will be staggered but 500 will be put in place every day that seats are installed. Two containers, each holding 1,800 seats, will be delivered to the site each week.
"The biggest job is the drilling and in the upper tier, most of that has taken place, so that part of the stadium will change quite quickly now and hopefully, by Christmas, the whole upper tier will have blue seats in them.
