Some moments you may have missed from Everton's clash with Salford City in pre-season on Saturday
Salford supporters single out youngster A lively showing from a number of Everton’s youngsters had Salford City’s supporters looking to do what they could to help their side’s defensive efforts. After a tame first half, Everton found a burst of energy to kickstart the second and took the lead after Youssef Chermiti danced through challenges before being tripped to earn a free kick on the edge of the box.
One on one chat with Steve Stone Armstrong got onto the pitch midway through the second half. He was one of several substitutes who emerged from the dugout to warm-up in a corner to the soundtrack of Salford and Everton supporters chanting against each other. As Armstrong went through his routine there was the unusual site of assistant manager Steve Stone stalking down the touchline towards those warming up.
