About one-fifth of the residents of seven Ohio cities, including Mayfield Heights, Painesville, and Solon, speak a language other than English at home, according to new estimates released in March by the Census Bureau.

Mayfield Heights ranks second in the state, with 23% of the population speaking a language other than English in their homes.CLEVELAND -

Campbell increased in population speaking languages other than English at home since 2015, when only 17.7% of people qualified. The split was 9.7% Spanish and 7.3% other Indo-European languages back then. The American Community Survey questions asked to capture languages spoken at home are not designed to identify American Sign Language users.
