Marcos Alonso : Another name on the left-back radar. Alonso is widely-known in the Premier League from his Chelsea days, while reports on Tuesday morning hinted the Barcelona defender had 'turned down' an offer to see him return to the UK. Alonso played 90 minutes against Villarreal on Sunday afternoon.
Marc Cucurella : Things have not gone entirely to plan for the Spanish left-back since Chelsea signed him for £63million from Brighton last summer. A loan move is the most-likely scenario and United have put Cucurella on their revamped shortlist after England regular Shaw was struck down with an injury.
