Police in Portugal have been searching a reservoir about 30 miles from where Madeleine went missing
Portuguese police Policia Judiciaria confirmed on Monday that they would be searching a reservoir about 30 miles from where Madeleine disappeared in 2007. Searches have been ongoing today at Barragem do Arade reservoir.
German Braunschweig prosecutor Christian Wolters has told reporters that the investigation is based on "certain tips". A statement from the prosecutor'f office said: "As part of the investigation into the case of Madeleine McCann there are currently measures related to the criminal process taking place in Portugal.
Brueckner is a convicted sex offender, and was identified as a suspect by German investigators. He has denied any involvement in Madeleine's disappearance.
