is really a restaurant in disguise. The neighborhood joint with the palindromic name has quietly been serving outstanding pub grub amid all the beer, booze and sports on TV.
Palindromes are words spelled the same backward and forward. And at Evil Olive, whether you order from the bottom of the menu or the top, or you start eating your sandwich from the front or from the back, it doesn’t matter. It will be one of the best sandwiches in San Antonio. On my first bite, the egg yolk broke into the rest of the mix — a moment I’ll treasure until I order my next one. My doctor will frown at this recommendation, and my admission that I’ll eat it again, but you only live once.
