EVs Good, or EVs Bad? Auto Execs (& Politicians) Can’t Seem to Make Up Their Minds.
Isn’t it great to hear auto execs talk about electric vehicles these days? It’s so encouraging to hear how their companies are “all in” on the EV revolution, and how much it will benefit our grandchildren.: “E-mobility is by far the most efficient way to defossilize. This is why we are expanding our portfolio to over 20 models by 2026.”who said, in July 2020
, that ICE vehicles “will be alive for a very long time. This is why we continue to invest massively in the development of combustion engines.” Is this the same Herr Duesmann? We’re pretty sure it is. Isn’t it unusual for an exec to make two such seemingly contradictory statements in the space of two years?: “I am very confident, I am trying not to be arrogant, just confident of the fact that we are going to catch up in the next couple of years with Tesla and it’s going to be a very healthy competition. Very good for the consumer, by the way.
