An ex-Maryport councillor, who threatened to put a bomb up a police officer's a***, subjected 999 call handlers to a tirade of abuse.He pleaded guilty to a charge of cause to be sent by public communication network a false message to cause annoyance/inconvenience/anxiety. Outlining the case, prosecutor Pamela Fee said a call handler at the Penrith headquarters received a 999 call on March 4 from a male, who stated he was going to kill himself.
He then said, “If you come to my house, I will put a bomb in your face” and “I want to be sectioned. You can’t do anything, you idiot.During the tirade of abuse he also threatened to put a bomb up the police officer's a***, outlined Ms Fee. Police arrived at Little’s address on Grasmere Terrace in Maryport a short while later.
"Mr Little stated to Ms Cunliffe that he wanted to kill someone and he was going to kill someone tonight. When she told Mr Little that she was going to have to contact the police about these comments Mr Little stated 'I'm going to f***ing kill you and then proceeded to ask where she was and where she lived."
