Keith Wyness questioned why Everton and Nottingham Forest's cases had been dealt with so quickly while Manchester City's is yet to be heard
Former Everton chief executive Keith Wyness has criticised the Premier League’s handling of financial cases, claiming “it seems to be one rule for the big boys and another rule for those below them”.
While he acknowledged the allegations faced by City were not the same as those that Everton and Nottingham Forest have already answered to, Wyness argued the title-chasers were receiving a different approach. Forest have also been charged, had their case heard and received a points deduction of their own in the same period. That club’s appeal against its four-point deduction, and the Blues' challenge to its second reduction, are both to be heard before the end of the season.
