Former Republic of Ireland footballer Anthony Stokes has been recharged over a suspected drug seizure in Dublin last year.

However, the drug charges were struck out in January on the application of the defence solicitor Lorraine Stephens due to delays in obtaining directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions and a forensic certificate of analysis. Mr Stokes, represented by Ms Stephens, was granted an adjournment until September to enter a plea and for his trial venue to be considered.
