Former NFL star turned MMA fighter set to make boxing debut
Former NFL star turned MMA fighter, Greg Hardy is set to make his boxing debut at a Black Sheep Boxing event on October 8 in Florida.
Ahead of the last fight on his UFC contract, Hardy confirmed that his plan was to move into boxing and target fights with WBC heavyweight champion“It’s happening, bro. After this fight, I’m definitely [going to] try to pursue some boxing. But still doing MMA because that gold is in my mind and in my heart,” he said.
Hardy made a name for himself as a defensive end in the NFL where he was a sixth-round draft pick for the Carolina Panthers in 2010 and made a team-record 15 sacks in the 2013 season.
