Bilic, the former West Ham, West Brom and Croatia boss, had been tipped to succeed him and the club announced his appointment shortly after the news about Edwards broke.A statement from the Hornets read: “Watford FC has relieved Rob Edwards of his duties as head coach.
Edwards was brought in following the club’s relegation from the Premier League last summer having impressed at Forest Green, whom he led to the League Two title. Bilic, 54, takes over with the side 10th in the Championship table ahead of a trip to Stoke on Sunday.
