Met Eireann has warned that parts of Ireland will be battered by heavy downpours and thunderstorms today.
Over the coming days conditions will be changeable with rain and showers at times, along with some sunshine. It comes as weather models show rain approaching Ireland’s west coast early on Sunday morning, then moving eastwards, before becoming almost country-wide early in the afternoon. Current indications suggest most of the island will be soaked between noon and 3pm.
