Documents obtained by The GrowthOp show Health Canada is operating in ways that contradict its internal guidance — via TheGrowthOp

“Along with ethical concerns and no clear benefit, the risks don’t justify exposure,” notes the email. “A clinical trial is not possible for the situation TheraPsil is requesting.”“Honestly, our whole team was in shock when we saw this,” he said. “We were fighting this for a year and a half, and then we find out that they’re actually acting not only against us, but against their own internal departments and experts. “There are currently no health care practitioners east of Montreal who have been granted exemptions,” the email reads. “Surely there will be patients in Atlantic Canada granted compassionate access to psilocybin in the near future and there will be no one to support them with this treatment … We are asking you to grant our exemptions so that we may be of service in this regard.”

“This is essentially political health care,” he says. “If we have Patty Hajdu as minister, patients get access to psilocybin and health care practitioners get the training they need. All of a sudden, Carolyn Bennett and Jean-Yves Duclos come in, and we get a new political change. Now people don’t get health care anymore.
