Health experts have shared a simple running hack which can improve performance and helps you reconnect with nature. The PA news agency spoke to wellbeing specialists about running barefoot and found benefits which some may find surprising.
Margo says "Barefoot running really helps us reconnect with nature" and that is the big appeal for many ditching their shoes and socks. Running with your feet firmly on grass, sand or even roads proves beneficial to the mental wellbeing of many. Adding: "Exercising barefoot can also help restore natural running patterns and strides. Doing activities barefoot can help strengthen the foot and ankle, improve muscle strength, increase flexibility, and allow for proper movement."
