This England, the upcoming drama exploring Boris Johnson’s handling of the Covid pandemic, has been pushed back due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The show, starring Kenneth Branagh, will be delayed ‘until after the official period of mourning’.
Celebrity MasterChef cancelled its latest episode which featured the contestants celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee.
However, Channel 4 has confirmed Friday night’s Gogglebox will be going ahead as planned, while The Voice and The Masked Dancer will also still be airing on Saturday night. On Thursday September 8, Buckingham Palace announced the Queen died aged 96 peacefully surrounded by the royal family at Balmoral.
Thousands of mourners immediately gathered ata the gates of Buckingham Palace in floods of tears to pay their respects. King Charles III greeted well-wishers outside the palace today before giving his first televised address to the nation as the monarch of Great Britain.
