Extra security is in place Tuesday at Central Dauphin East High School after someone threatened to bring a gun to the school, district officials said. The threat was made over social media, and the Central Dauphin School District became aware of it Monday evening, according to spokeswoman Shannon Leib.
Leib said local law enforcement has been notified and is investigating. In an email to parents Monday night, she reminded them that all threats should be reported to the necessary building’s principal. “The safety of our students and staff is of the utmost importance,” she wrote. “As such, additional security personnel will be on site.”If you purchase a product or register for an account through one of the links on our site, we may receive compensation.
