Fair City viewers are unhappy with the recent direction of Melanie Petrosian's character, played by Nyree Yergainharsian. Melanie's return to Carrigstown after losing her job in Scotland has seen her engage in manipulative and vindictive behavior, upsetting fans who believe the writers have turned a once-likeable character into something 'evil'.

But at the moment, Fair City fans don't seem to be too happy with the direction writers have taken the character in.She is back living with her ex Mondo O'Connell, who previously left her for his childhood sweetheart Kira Cassidy. But it is clear that there are some lingering feelings there, and Melanie is enjoying watching Kira's heart break.
With her conniving behaviour coming to the fore, some soap fans aren't impressed with Melanie lately, and many have taken to social media to complain."Not liking this side of Melanie," another said.
