His daughter already wants to follow in his acting footsteps FairCity
The Fair City actor says that one of his children has already shown an interest in following in his acting footsteps.
Matthew plays bad boy James Rafferty - and shared what he thinks of his character's current romance with Hayley on the show.Matthew says that despite the challenges that come with making it as an actor, it's a career path he would encourage in his children if they decided they wanted to follow in his footsteps.
"My daughter Luna is five and my son Lucas is is three and Luna is starting to show an interest in acting already," he told the RTE Guide. "She shows me her best death scenes and does a great act of falling over and being dramatic.Matthew opened up about his own childhood and where his love of acting began.
"Myself and my brother, who is my best friend still, grew up in a happy home and we used to play games all the time, but really where my interest for acting came from was my love of Star Wars," he said.James Rafferty's major storyline in Fair City at the moment involves a romance with Hayley Collins, played by Rebecca Grimes.
