Fair City star Ali Fox has hinted at a new and exciting storyline for her character Babs Mullen in the coming year. After a turbulent 2023 filled with challenges like becoming a grandmother, discovering her husband's infidelity, and a near-fatal fire, Babs is set to embark on a fitness journey to clear her head and transform her life.
2024 was a turbulent time for the fictional character as she navigated becoming a grandmother to grandson Taylor and discovered her husband Victor cheated on her with Kira Cassidy.
Viewers have already seen Babs running and racing with Maxine, but actress Ali teased there is more to come. Aside from working on Fair City, Ali is a stand-up comedian. She feels grateful she can dip her toes in both comedy and acting, which she describes as her first love, even though certain storylines can be challenging.
Ali joined Fair City in 2023 after initially being noticed for her comedy and acting chops on social media. Ali admitted that there was a pressure joining an institution of Irish television which everyone in the country knows about. However, she is grateful to be a part of Fair City and is looking forward to what the future holds for Babs.
