In just two weeks Fair City star Johnny Ward and Brenda Murphy will be tying the knot, and it looks set to be quite the celebration.
The pair will be saying “I do” in Kildare, hosting their reception in the Westgrove hotel. Of course, there will be plenty of famous faces in attendance, and even one on stage! As Johnny has asked his friend, country star, the actor shared his excitement at having the country starlet singing at his reception. Saying: “I can’t wait for that. So many people are really going to be excited for that.
“Cliona is probably the one person I talk to from Dancing with the Stars; herself and Peter Stringer. I’m very close with all of them, we had a really good year. I’m just delighted that she can actually do the entertainment because I know she’s flat out at the moment,” he gushed. “Cliona is absolutely massive down here with Brenda’s family and friends. I know they will lose it to see her.”VIP Magazine previously caught up with the love birds to chat about their wedding plans, with Johnny admitting: “I can’t wait for the wedding, I wish it was tomorrow.”
“We’re getting married in the same place as Brenda’s parents so it means an awful lot to both of us. It’s a really small, dainty and quirky church. It put shivers down our spine the second we walked in. Afterwards, we’re having the reception in the Westgrove Hotel, it’s beautiful and we fell in love with it straight away. We really can’t wait!” he tells us with a grin.
As for what you can expect from the big day, he explains: “It’ll be an intimate ceremony, we’re having around 160 people. We’ll have some actors, singers and people from the entertainment business and they’re going to expect to be entertained given what I do.”
