Fake posters claiming there are now designated areas of the capital for "heroin and crack" use have been slammed by Dublin City Council.The posters, which have a blue background along with a Dublin City Council and Government of Ireland logo, read: "Designated Crack and Heroin ZoneREAD MORE - Gardai seize €50k worth of cannabis, cocaine and ecstasy tablets after Dublin search
"Dublin City Council had nothing to do with these posters. These posters only cause frustration, confusion, and anger rather than actually tackling the drugs crisis." "I fully understand the community's frustration but fly posting posters that make baseless claims do nothing to tackle the drugs crisis. Many communities feel abandoned to drug dealers.
"Tackling the drugs crisis needs to be a political priority for this Government. Communities must be the centre of the strategy.
