Ronan Jones, 4, cheeses for the camera as he leans on a pumpkin nearly as big as him on the opening day of the Corny Maze at Trader's Village in San Antonio, TX, on Oct. 1, 2022. The maze is billed as South Texas' largest corn maze, it actually incorporates three separate mazes on a 10-acre lot at Traders Village in the Corny Maze’s fifth year.
By the middle of this week, temperatures could dip as low as the 40s and 50s in the mornings, with the afternoons reaching high 70s, said Bob Fogarty, meteorologist for the National Weather Service. After a fairly hot week for fall in the San Antonio area, these cooler temperatures will be more in line with typical weather this time of year, based on the 30-year average.
Sunday’s cold front brings a chance of rain, but most San Antonio residents won’t see much accumulation, with a forty to fifty percent chance Sunday night increasing to a fifty to sixty percent chance on Monday morning, Fogarty said. Once the cold front moves through, next weekend will be slightly warmer, but there shouldn’t be any more highs in the 90s. And full sun makes it the perfect weather to head out to a local pumpkin patch.
