Staff 'working quickly to get the tree removed'
A fallen tree has caused chaos on the Metrolink system on Thursday night, with trams cancelled and large numbers of passengers reportedly piling onto replacement bus services.They said a fallen tree was 'resting' on overhead power lines, leading to cancellations on the line during rush-hour on Thursday.Metrolink, responding to tweets from other passengers, said staff were 'working quickly' to remove the tree from the power lines.
"Tickets & passes are being accepted on the 17, 18, 41, 52, 53, 56, 66, 90, 95, 97, 98, 112, 117, 118, 119, 135, 156, 163, 524 bus services."
