Gameweek 11 was a historically bad one for many Fantasy Premier League managers - here's how to react to such stinkers
Gameweek 11 in the 2023-24 season will go down in folklore as one of the lowest-scoring weeks ever. An extraordinary amount of popular players blanked and it was a poor show across the board for most managers. Variance and luck are part and parcel of FPL and without the lows, the highs wouldn’t feel as good. This is something we just have to accept about the game and we shouldn’t let it impact our decision making or how we play the game.
Factors such as which players are injured, good fixture runs, whether certain players are being used out of position, and underlying stats are what we can know. But even following everything in our control doesn’t guarantee FPL success. All we can do is focus on implementing a sound process, knowing that if you do this over a long enough period you should come out on top over the long run. However, there will be ups and downs along the way.
