A father and son were arrested after two men were allegedly stabbed over a long-running land dispute in West Cork .
The brothers were able to raise the alarm and a relative rushed the pair to Dunmanway Community Hospital. But medics decided their injuries were too serious. Gardaí then arrested the father and son who were being quizzed under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act by detectives in a West Cork Garda Station.
“Two men, aged in their 30s and 70s, remain in Garda custody detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda station in the Southern Region.”
