A high-profile runner has been dramatically withdrawn from today’s featured €270,000 Guinness Galway Hurdle after testing positive for a banned substance.

The eight-year-old was trained initially by David Dunne but then moved to Ronan McNally in county Armagh before switching to Carlow-based Brown following McNally's suspension from training. David Dunne was sentenced to 15 months in prison last March for the assault and false imprisonment of a former stable hand three years ago.
