Faye Brennan, a key contestant from season one of The Traitors, shares how the show boosted her profile, the launch of a new podcast with former cast mates, and her positive view on former alliances. The piece also touches on her future prospects post-show and her openness to the highlights of the series.
"Ben and Nick where is Birkin? "We’re all glued to our TVs at 9:30pm every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday as The Traitors has returned to our screens.
One Faithful from the first season, Faye Brennan chatted to us at this year’s Hayu STELLAR InstaStar Awards and admitted her life has changed “in the best way” since entering the castle.
“My life has just changed in the best way possible. The opportunities are just so incredible. ” She had no idea what to expect when she applied for the show. But now, a year later, she has 55k followers on Instagram and is still approached by fans of the show.
“It’s amazing. When it came out a year ago it was the first season so I had no idea that it was going to be so loved. I didn’t think there would be fans,” she confesses.
“It’s been so incredible and it was an incredible opportunity. And now that it’s come out again it’s opened up a whole can of worms again. Everyone is asking me questions again, everyone is like ‘Oh Faye from Traitors! ’ It’s crazy.
” She made it to the penultimate episode of the first season, forming an alliance with Traitors Nick and Ben, before she was ultimately banished from the castle. However, there’s no bad blood between her and the lads. In fact, she’s hosting a podcast with them as well as David, Eamonn and Mark from season one.
“We are starting a podcast, it’s starting on Wednesday. We’re going to debrief the first six episodes and from there see where it takes us,” she explains.
“Everyone is always like, ‘What do you think of the boys? Is there any beef there? ’ But honestly no. They’re amazing people. It’s a game.
Obviously in the moment it hurts but it’s all water under the bridge. ” Well, we have to ask would she ever go down the same route as Maura Higgins and ask for a Birkin bag after she was betrayed by Rob Rausch who ended up being a Traitor in the American version of the show?
