Unbelievable and shocking
Villagers say they have been left shocked and fearful after a postmaster was robbed in broad daylight.
But the incident has also led to fears over the future of the "lifeline" service. Diane Cull, who works at the village hall, said the offenders were waiting in the car park ready for the arrival of the Post Office equipment. Diane said the outreach service is particularly valuable as the village lacks other facilities such as shops and banks. "It's a lifeline for the village," she said, "We have no other facilities, we have two pubs but one is up for sale."
